The position is open to candidates in the US, preferably residing in Los Angeles, California, or San Francisco.

As an ecommerce strategist in Vaan you'll primarily focus on US. 

We seek a ecommerce strategist with a profound understanding of the backend of a robust ecommerce site and excellent communication skills. Ecommerce experience and client facing experience in previous roles is a prerequisite.

Qualifications/expectations:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/CX/Ecommerce Strategy and Conversion Rate Optimization.

  • Expertise in ecommerce design and customer experience strategies.

  • Direct experience on technical projects: headless, ERP integrations, and/or custom solutions/integrations

  • Non-standard ecom flows like BOPIS or other complex fulfilment, accounts, or payments experience.

  • Familiarity with Shopify technical foundation and apps in general (understanding things like checkout extensions vs checkout.liquid, scripts vs functions, metafields/metaobjects, etc.)

  • At least 2 years of experience analyzing and reporting on ecommerce metrics, either in-house or in an agency setting

  • Strong familiarity and comfort with ecommerce technology and practices

  • Deep Analytics Experience (Google Analytics /GA4 required; Adobe Analytics or other tools desired).

  • Demonstrated expertise in Shopify ecosystem and/or other ecommerce platforms

  • Google Suite (sheets, slides, docs, gmail)

  • Experience working on multiple projects/engagements with different timelines and cadences effectively

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Preferred (not required) Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years managing the implementation of Analytics for an Ecommerce brand

  • Digital Marketing Experience

  • Knowledge of html / css

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience working with  CRO, SEO and/or Marketing.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Design).

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and Understanding Client Needs: Collaborate with clients to determine their goals, identify opportunities, and devise customized ecommerce solutions.

  • Strategy Development: Create comprehensive ecommerce strategies that encompass design, development, product, user experience and more.

  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly track, analyze, and report on KPIs to ensure strategies are effective and meet clients’ business goals.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, developers, project managers, solutions specialists and external stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of a strategic roadmap that aligns with the goals and outcomes of our clients.

  • Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to ensure strategies are relevant and competitive.

  • Continuous Optimization: Review and adjust strategies as needed, ensuring ongoing alignment with client objectives and market dynamics, as well as creating a successful consumer experience.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations.

  • Ability to speak authoritatively to clients about their data and glean meaningful insights, with a focus on storytelling oriented around primary client business drivers

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert (SME) for ecommerce fundamentals and trends, Shopify best practices, and optimization of client key metrics

  •  Stay up-to-date with the capabilities of Vaan’s technology Partners and other innovative third party extensions and solutions in the marketplace.

Other Things You Should Know:

  • This is a temporary to permanent position (3-month trial contract to start)

  • This position requires approximately 40 hours/week commitment

  • Salary commensurate with experience

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills

  • This is a fully remote position, but the candidate must be able to accommodate working hours in the U.S. time zones for some hours of the day

Benefits after the third month of employment: 

  • Once  per year the entire team meet in one place (al the costs will be covered by the company)

  • 500 us for equipment 

  • 20 PTOs

  • 10 holidays from your country of residence (you choose which one) 

  • Bonus depending on the performance of the company
