At Vaan, we take pride in building pixel-perfect Shopify experiences that blend performance, accessibility, and design precision. Quality assurance is a cornerstone of our process — and we’re looking for a Manual QA Tester to join our growing QA team.

As a QA Tester at Vaan, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that every experience we ship meets the highest standards of functionality, design accuracy, and accessibility. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to identify issues early, prevent regressions, and ensure that the final product delights users across every device.

The Role:

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive functional testing to ensure all features work as intended across browsers and devices.
  
  

• Perform visual and design QA to guarantee pixel-perfect implementation aligned with Figma designs.
  
  

• Execute accessibility testing (ADA compliance), using tools such as WAVE, Lighthouse, and screen readers to ensure inclusivity and compliance.
  

• Validate Google Tag Manager (GTM) events, Klaviyo event tracking, and A/B testing workflows.
  

• Test Shopify sites and apps, understanding how design, content, and custom code interact within Shopify’s ecosystem.
  

• Conduct mobile app testing using Android Studio Emulator and TestFlight for iOS.
  

• Log detailed and well-documented bugs with reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and screenshots or videos as needed.
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify usability issues and recommend UX improvements.
  

• Participate in regression and smoke testing cycles across development, staging, and production environments.
  

• Work daily with tools like BrowserStack, Figma, Silktide, WAVE, Lighthouse, and IBM accessibility checkers to ensure quality at every stage.
  
  

Must-Have Skills:

• Functional & Design QA: Proven experience performing thorough functional testing and pixel-perfect design validation.
  

• Accessibility Testing: Proficiency in accessibility standards (ADA compliance), including screen reader validation and color contrast checks.
  

• Technical Knowledge:
  

  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS.

  • Ability to test and validate GTM events and debugging.

  • Familiarity with Klaviyo and A/B testing workflows.
    

• Mobile App Testing: Experience testing Android and iOS builds via Android Studio and TestFlight.
  
  

• Shopify Expertise:

  • Confident navigating the Shopify editor and ecosystem (apps, themes, integrations).
    

  • Understands how design, content, and code interact within Shopify themes.
    

• Bug Reporting: Skilled in writing clear, reproducible, and detailed bug reports.
  

• UX Awareness: Ability to detect UX and design inconsistencies early and provide actionable feedback.
  

• Figma Proficiency: Comfortable comparing live builds to design specs and validating visual consistency.
  

• Testing Processes: Familiar with regression, smoke testing, and environment-specific testing workflows.
  

• Tools: Proficiency in BrowserStack, Figma, WAVE, Lighthouse, Silktide, and screen reader tools.
  
  Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Automation Awareness: Basic understanding of automated testing principles or frameworks.
  
  

• Familiarity with performance or load testing concepts.
